Second Webinar Scheduled on the HCBS Settings Rule

As we previously reported, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published the final rule related to Home and Community-Based Services (HBCS) settings for Medicaid-funded long term services and supports provided in non-institutional residential settings. This rule implements a number of changes to home and community-based waivers and has far reaching implications for other Medicaid providers. 

The Department of Health (DOH) scheduled a webinar on July 7 to review the HCBS rule and their Transition Plan to be in compliance.

LeadingAge NY contacted the DOH after hearing from members the HCBS Setting Rule webinar scheduled for July 7 was full. DOH responded by adding a second webinar on Monday, July 28, 2014, at 1 p.m. Details on registration should be posted this week.
