DOH Posts Two DALs for Home Care

Wage Parity Adjustments for NYC CHHAs

The Department of Health (DOH) posted a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) informing providers of revisions to Medicaid fee-for-service rates for Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs) in NYC in accordance with PHL Section 3614.14. The revised rates reflect the cost increases resulting from the wage parity law.

The first adjustment is for pediatric fee-for-service rates for NYC CHHA providers to establish a minimum rate for home health aide services of $20.95 per hour, retroactive to March 1, 2014.

The second adjustment is to cover the episodic payment rates for NYC CHHAs that have seen an increase of 11.52 percent resulting from the estimated increase in home health aide wages under the wage parity law as compared to the 2009 base year.

The revised rates have been transmitted to eMedNY for payment processing and they are available on the HCS site.

2014 Personal Care Appeals

DOH posted a DAL informing providers of updated 2014 personal care rates as a result of appeals that were accepted by DOH.

The revised rates have been transmitted to the eMedNY system for processing.
