Federal Resources for Caregivers

As part of the 2015 White House Conference on Aging (WHoA), there have been several listening sessions held across the country with older Americans, caregivers, families, researchers, leaders in the field of aging and other stakeholders. As a result of the listening session items such as research, programs, input from listening sessions, best practices and resources in the field of aging, resources are being gathered and made available online.

On Wed., May 20, a selection of 39 federal resources for caregivers was posted to WHoA website. The selection comes from numerous federal agencies that include:

  • Administration for Community Living 
  • Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services 
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 
  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration 
  • National Institutes of Health
  • HHS Office of Women's Health 
  • HHS Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion
  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development 
  • U.S. Department of Labor 
  • Office of Personnel Management 
  • Social Security Administration
  • U.S. Department of Vetarns Affairs
