Monroe Community Hospital unveils new reality rehab system

Monroe County, N.Y. — A new cutting-edge virtual reality rehabilitation system was unveiled Wednesday at Monroe Community Hospital.

It includes a training treadmill that simulates challenges of everyday life. For example, walking on uneven pavement or lifting feet over doorsteps.

The hospital is the first long term care facility in New York state with this technology.

Donations from the West Herr Auto Group and the Monroe County Hospital Foundation, helped pay for the new system.
