Reminder: Surveys for Home Care Cost Report Due Feb. 5th

As previously reported, the Department of Health (DOH) is in the process of finalizing the new home care cost reporting process as required by the 2018-19 State Budget. As indicated in a recent Dear Administrator Letter (DAL), the report will apply to Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs), and Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs) and require variations in reporting based upon the services offered. This report will replace the Personal Care Provider Cost Report and the non-hospital-based CHHA Cost Report. It will apply to providers statewide. Audits of the submitted forms will be carried out by KPMG; thus, the forms will no longer need to be certified by a CPA prior to submission.

All CHHAs, LHCSAs, and FIs must fill out the survey in the DAL to indicate the appropriate contact and provider entity information for the Department. The survey deadline is Feb. 5, 2020.

The Department will soon be rolling out regional educational workshops and webinars. Please stay tuned for more information in that regard.

Questions on cost report matters and survey issues may be submitted to Homecare.reports@health.ny.gov and us-advrisknyshc@kpmg.com, respectively.
