Health Care Worker Bonus Claiming Window Closes Oct. 31st
Members are reminded that the claiming window for the second vesting period of the Health Care Worker Bonus Program closes on Oct. 31st. This vesting period covers the timeframe of April 1, 2022 to Oct. 1, 2022.
Unfortunately, most of the questions that members had at the end of the claiming window for the first vesting period are still unaddressed at the time of this writing. Aside from updates for the education sector, the Department of Health (DOH) provided one clarification regarding how to handle retired employees. LeadingAge NY has reached out to the administration several times outlining the fundamental issues that need to be clarified.
Members are also reminded that you may submit in this second vesting period any employee who was eligible for the first vesting period, but you had not claimed for.
