Reminder: Episodic CHHA Minimum Wage Surveys Due Wednesday

In a Dec. 23, 2019 communication, the Department of Health (DOH) advised that Episodic Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) Minimum Wage surveys have been revised to include a new section for Contracted Staff.

If your agency has the supporting documentation (i.e. contract documentation) related to the minimum wage component of the wage/ fringe portion of your contract please include those amounts for each year. The total wage/ fringe component reported should NOT include compression and should only include increases in wages associated with the statutory requirement.

There are two required surveys that have been updated to include the Contracted Staff section for the Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs) Episodic:

- The 2017-2019 Minimum Wage CHHA Episodic survey; and,

- The 2020 Minimum Wage CHHA Episodic Survey

The 2017-2019 Minimum Wage CHHA Episodic Survey

Please complete the survey found at https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5275150/c6c43b594b88 using employee wage data as of December 31st for each year 2017 through 2019 for your facility.

The 2020 Minimum Wage CHHA Episodic Survey

Please also complete the survey found at http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5259721/c01749fd9782 using employee wage data from April 1, 2019 through June 30, 2019 for your facility. However, the minimum wage for New York City region reached the statutory minimum wage of $15.00 per hour effective December 31, 2018 and forward, therefore no minimum wage survey will be required for that region.

Due to the changes in the surveys the due date has been extended to COB Wednesday, January 15, 2020. If you have any questions regarding the Minimum Wage Survey, please send an email with the subject line Minimum Wage to chha-rates@health.ny.gov and you will receive a response within 48 business hours.
