Anne Hill Departs the Adult Day Health Care Council

LeadingAge NY thanks Anne Hill, executive director of the Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC), for her longstanding dedication and commitment over the last decade to adult day health care (ADHC) providers across New York State. Anne has been an invaluable resource to ADHC programs throughout the state. Her advocacy, deep knowledge base, and support will be greatly missed. Anne has been an exceptional advocate these last two years as she has worked tirelessly to advocate for reopening of ADHC programs that were closed in March 2020 due to COVID-19. She led the way with extensive advocacy and an intensive press push to draw attention to the loss of access to this necessary and valuable provider type.

Meg Everett, in addition to her current role as home and community-based services (HCBS) policy analyst at LeadingAge NY, will take on the position of interim executive director of ADHCC moving forward. Meg worked as a policy analyst with ADHCC prior to her current position and looks forward to working with the Council to provide continued support for reopening of programs and operation of current programs as they continue to face the pandemic. Meg will continue Anne’s work in calling attention to ADHC programs’ critical role in the long term care continuum.

LeadingAge NY and ADHCC are committed to their partnership to work together to advance and advocate for long term care providers and the patients they serve, including a return to vibrancy for this particular provider type. We look forward to working with Anne as she advocates and serves the elderly in a new capacity in the Capital Region. She will continue to prove herself an invaluable resource to both providers and patients of this field.
