RHCF Medicaid Cost Report Due Sept. 15th

We remind nursing home members that 2019 Medicaid cost reports are due Sept. 15th. Members should ensure that the necessary Health Commerce System (HCS) permissions are in place now for any staff who will file and/or certify the report. A copy of the permissions application form is available here. The Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) announcing the due date is here. Members should make every effort to file an accurate and timely cost report to avoid a negative impact on their home's Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI) score. In addition, accurate reporting of staff turnover and retention is likely to be critical for future Advance Training Initiative (ATI) distribution.

Please note that Executive Order (EO) #38 Financial Disclosure Reports, which are typically due at the same time as Medicaid cost reports, are not due until Sept. 29th this year, according to the State’s EO #38 webpage. EO #38 requires covered providers who receive State funds or State-authorized payments to submit a Disclosure Form with information on administrative expenses and executive compensation. More information is available in a recent Intelligence article that can be accessed here.
