2021 Home Care Cost Report Opens Tomorrow

The Department of Health (DOH) and KPMG LLP (KPMG) have announced that the 2021 Home Care Cost Report will be available on Wed., June 22, 2022. DOH is moving up the 2021 Home Care Cost Report submission timeline to better align with the rate-setting timeline. On June 22nd, providers will receive an email from us-advrisknyshc@kpmg.com containing the new link to the Web-based Tool. Providers will have 90 days to complete the cost report. Cost report submissions will be due on Tues., Sept. 20, 2022. This reporting is required of Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs), and Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs). LHCSAs associated with Assisted Living Programs (ALPs) that only serve ALP members are not required to complete this report.

As part of the Home Care Cost Report Outreach Program, DOH and KPMG will be hosting a 2021 Home Care Cost Report Statewide Kickoff Webinar on Tues., June 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. EST. They will follow up with the WebEx link and telephone dial-in information in the coming days.

Please review the important information below regarding the 2021 cost report submission:

  • For users who completed the 2020 Home Care Cost Report, the login credentials for the Web-based Tool will be the same. If you forgot your password, please click the “Forgot Password?” link on the Web-based Tool login page. You will then be sent an email containing the steps to reset your password.
  • If your agency needs to add additional users to the Tool, either an individual from your agency or a hired consultant, please send an inquiry to us-advrisknyshc@kpmg.com. In your inquiry, please include the first name, last name, and email address of the individual who needs access.

More information about the Home Care Cost Report can be found here and here. LeadingAge NY will circulate the June 28th webinar information as soon as it is available.
