LeadingAge NY and Others Urge Strong FY 2023 Allocations for HUD Subcommittee

On Nov. 18th, LeadingAge NY, LeadingAge National, and more than 1,900 others from across the United States joined the Campaign for Housing and Community Development Funding (CHCDF) to urge federal appropriators to include robust funding for the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development (THUD) Subcommittee in Fiscal Year (FY) 2023.

Without adequate overall funding to the THUD Subcommittee, housing and community development programs are unlikely to secure the resources they need when Congress finally enacts an FY 2023 appropriations bill. “With more families struggling to make ends meet due to the pandemic and our nation’s affordable housing crisis worsening,” the sign-on letter notes, “federal investments are critical to create more equitable communities and ensure families thrive.”
