Archdiocese opens new health care program for seniors

A new program for senior citizens is opening up in the Hudson Valley that allows the elderly to get the help they need while staying close to home
Today, the Archdiocese of New York celebrated the new health care program at a ribbon-cutting at Cabrini in Westchester in Dobbs Ferry.
The new ArchCare Senior Life is a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which provides holistic treatment on site or at home for elderly patients who would otherwise require full-time care in a nursing home. "Talk to anyone and the one thing they want to do is remain in the community with their family and friends and the home they grew up in. This program allows them that independence and care they need both at home and in the center," says ArchCare CEO Scott LaRue.
The Dobbs Ferry location is the ArchCare's fourth PACE center, and the first outside New York City.
