Resident Assessment Coordinator - Certified (RAC-CT) Workshop
LeadingAge NY is pleased to partner with the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) to offer the most respected MDS credentialing program to long term care professionals. The 3-day certification program provides all the courses you will need to take the certification exam.
AANAC’s Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified (RAC-CT®) is the distinguishing characteristic of an expert in resident assessment. AANAC’s RAC-CT program has long set the national standard for skilled nursing facility PPS and MDS education. More and more employers are requesting RAC-CT certified applicants in their jobs postings as it has become the mark of professionals who are committed to their career and residents. Constantly reviewed and updated by a team of experts, the RAC-CT program will help you to distinguish yourself as a valuable asset to any long-term care organization. In this program, you will immerse yourself in clinical assessment and care planning, completion of MDS, and the regulatory body surrounding the RAI/MDS process.

Contact Hours: The RAC-CT program has been approved for 22.5 CEs. The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing AAPACN* is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
AAPACN* works in conjunction with the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) to provide nursing home administrators with continuing education credit for any AANAC workshop attended.
*The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) is the parent organization to AADNS.
Course Completion Requirements: CEs for a live workshop are based upon actual classroom attendance for the duration of the scheduled educational activity and are verified through sign-in sheets. If a student must leave before the activity is scheduled to end or is late arriving, he/she will not receive full CE credit. Partial credit may be awarded. Each attendee, based on sign-in sheets/attendance, will receive the CE certificate upon the completion of the education activity. Final exams are not a requirement for claiming a CE certificate for a live workshop.

Cancellation Policy: AANAC and/or the training partner are not responsible for any fees incurred due to cancellations or postponements. Attendee cancellations must be submitted in writing to the AANAC office via email to workshops@AANAC.org. All cancellations received seven business days prior to the start date of the workshop will be refunded in full, minus a $50 processing fee. Refunds for cancellations received fewer than seven days prior to the start date of the workshop will not be issued, except for an emergency or a visit from State Surveyors. Registration fees cannot be transferred to another AANAC program.

Important: Handouts will be provided to attendees electronically for this workshop. Students can download the materials to her/his device of choice to bring to the workshop. Students also have the option to download and print the materials. Access information will be sent via email to each student prior to the beginning of the workshop.
