Popular TV Personality to Host Cobble Hill Health Center Gala

Brooklyn, NY- Jessica Abo, popular TV personality, will emcee this year’s Cobble Hill Health Center gala on November 20 at the Liberty Warehouse on Conover St. in Brooklyn. Jessica, a former reporter for NY1, has appeared on Gossip Girls, Nurse Jackie and the Amazing Spiderman 2. She has received many awards for her journalism and philanthropy work. Jessica will introduce this year’s honorees: 

Jim Walden, partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, who worked pro bono to save Long Island College Hospital from closing;

Salvatore Ferragine, chief operating officer, NYC/NJ Optum Health, Evercare; a pioneering managed care program that optimizes the health and well-being of long term nursing home patients;

Dr. Stanley Sherbell, Methodist Hospital’s executive vice president for medical affairs; and

Nasry Michelen, chief executive officer at Aetna Better Health, Aetna’s managed long term care insurance division.

The Fortis Property Group will be recognized for their sponsorship of this important fundraising event.

This year’s gala theme is Celebrating Everything Brooklyn.

As a health care resource for almost 40 years, Cobble Hill Health Center has been providing compassionate and exemplary post- hospital stay and long term care for the frail elderly and disabled in Brooklyn, including a state of the art Alzheimer’s program. This is their only and most important fundraising event. The funds raised help provide enhanced quality of life programming.
