Governor Announces Extended Deadline for Superstorm Sandy Victims to Apply for FEMA Assistance

Gov. Cuomo announced last week that the deadline for those impacted by Superstorm Sandy to apply for both FEMA public assistance and/or SBA loans is extended to March 29, 2013. The prior deadline was February 27, 2013. The thirteen counties covered by the disaster declaration include: Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Richmond, Rockland, Westchester, Suffolk, Queens, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Ulster. Included in the governor’s announcement are instructions on contacting FEMA, along with a comprehensive list of other disaster services agencies.
