FLTC's Current and Upcoming Research Projects
Current Research Projects:
AmeriCorps in Eldercare Settings (ACES)
Through a grant from AmeriCorps to the Foundation for Long Term Care called "AmeriCorps in Eldercare Settings" (ACES), baby-boomer aged professionals as well as graduate students will provide service at elder care service settings in the greater Capital Region area, the greater New York City area, and in the state of Connecticut over the course of one year. Service will focus on assisting older adults to age in place, recruiting volunteers to provide services for older adults, and other roles that directly benefit older adults.
Numerous eldercare service settings have been accepted to join the national service initiative by becoming Host Sites for AmeriCorps Members in this project. Learn more about the project, read FAQs, review the Host Site application process, and (for current ACES sites and Members) access needed project documentation.
A recorded informational presentation for sites interested in ACES, which runs about 25 minutes, can be accessed directly through this link.
