Foundation for Long Term Care

The FLTC  is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) research and education organization founded in 1978. In keeping with its mission to improve by research and education the way care for an aging society is delivered, it has a reputation for outstanding research and demonstration projects and for innovative seminars aimed at keeping health care professionals informed of constant changes in the field.

The FLTC is affiliated with LeadingAge New York (formerly NYAHSA), which represents nearly 600 voluntary long-term care providers, from nursing homes to home care agencies.

Research

Projects include AmeriCorps in Eldercare Settings (ACES), Bathing Without a Battle (BWOB), Exceptional Care Planning (ECP), and more.

Education

LeadingAge New York and the FLTC's educational entity conduct education events throughout the year to enhance the effectiveness of member leaders and staff, enabling members to obtain much of the professional credit mandated to retain licenses and certification. Our wide range of educational offerings includes audio conferences, webinars, online courses, one day programs, and annual conferences.
