Program Summary: LeadingAge NY members and other interested providers, as employers, need to stay informed of the developments in "social media" as technology continues to outpace the still-evolving law. This audio conference will identify and discuss the legal implications of the use of social media by employees in the work place and by "off duty" employees, the monitoring of the use of social media sites by employees and prospective employees, and resident and employee privacy concerns. Additionally, our speakers will discuss the policies and procedures that should be adopted to address social media use (and those practices that should be avoided).
