RUG-IV

Format: Audio conference

Date/Time: Recorded: August 24, 2011 (Length of session: 90 minutes)

Program Summary:

The case mix approach serves as the basis for the Prospective Payment System (PPS) for skilled nursing facilities and swing bed hospitals, and has been adopted in many states for the Medicaid reimbursement system for nursing homes as well. • Understand the impact of the ADL index and Depression symptoms on reimbursement and how they are scored.
  • Understand the therapy minute calculation changes relative to individual, concurrent, and group minutes.
  • Understand the requirements for the Medicare Short Stay calculation.
  • Understand the documentation needs associated with the RUG-IV classification system.
