Session 1: The Current Landscape

This program will review the Federal and State history of managed long term care, the types of managed long term care plans and, perhaps most importantly, the transition of Medicaid to a managed care model in New York State, and how such transition might impact both the payment and delivery of services, including the role of downstream providers.
Session 2: Managed Care Models
Recorded on March 2, 1.5 hours
This program will discuss various types of managed or coordinated care models, including health homes and care coordination models, the procedures and requirements for developing various models, and the risks associated with pursuing such models.
Session 3: Partnerships and Potential Pitfalls
March 16, 10 - 11:30 a.m.
This program will discuss the steps that can be taken by providers to remain competitive in the changing managed long term care marketplace, and the regulatory pitfalls to be wary of. The topics to be discussed will include antitrust and fraud and abuse risks.
