Program Summary:
New York State providers who are subject to the provisions of NYS Public Health Law articles 28 or 36 (hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, home care agencies, etc.) are required to adopt and implement effective compliance programs and to annually certify that they are effective. If Medicaid is a substantial portion of the organization’s business operations, the certification should be based upon the existence of a compliance program that meets the eight elements set out in NYS law.
This is the third session in a five-part Corporate Compliance Series. In this program we will cover the quality aspect under the OMIG regulations and guidance.

1. Quality as a compliance priority under OMIG regulations and OIG guidance
2. Quality reporting in New York State and the PPACA
3. Financial incentives tied to quality under the PPACA and other laws
